Chapter#6 important notes: Computer networks
What is a computer network? When all computer are connected to each other and work together exchanging data and information with each other.
What are broadband? Tolls for computer to communicate with each other. For example: Coaxial cable, fiber optics and wireless.
Size of computer networks; Home computer network ( small network ), National computer network ( for the whole organization ), and global computer network ( world wide network ).
What is LAN? Local Area Network. Example: SQU computers connect to each other.
What is Enterprise Network? network within the organization and has a main controller or a server which control other computers.
What does Analog and Digital Signals do? carry data to other computers/
Most computer use Digital signals to send one data to another.
